Despite, the match being abandoned in the evening, TeleBarbados Carlton have clinched a spot in the semi-finals of the Sagicor General Super Cup.
However, CGI/ Sandy Crest Maple missed out.
Carlton,  ESA Field Pickwick and BNB St Catherine took the three remaining semi-finals spots and joined ICBL Empire who had already qualified.
Carlton ended with 16 points and Maple 14. ESA Field Pickwick who also gained 16 points, topped zone “A” by virtue of four wins compared to Carlton with three.
A sharp shower around 4:12 p.m. forced the players off the field at Trents, with Maple on 151 for five from 22 overs in a match reduced to 25 overs a side yesterday.
Marlon Welcome-Goodman struck a run-a-ball 50, and shared an enterprising fourth-wicket stand of 53 in seven overs with Jamar Griffith who made a quick-fire 34. Welcome- Goodman smashed four threes and an equal number of fours.  Griffith faced 23 balls and struck five threes and two fours.
Earlier, the start of play was delayed by just over four hours due to very wet conditions. Maple got a fine start from Pedro Agard (26) and Kerry Thompson with 20.
In the semi-finals slated for Sunday, August 21 at neutral venues to be decided, Pickwick will oppose St Catherine and Empire will meet Carlton. The final is set for September 4.  (EDH)
