Two police officers were shot late last night while patrolling Navy Gardens in Christ Church.
Police public relations officer Inspector David Welch told NATIONNews.com this morning that Sgt Christine Husbands and Constable Terry Pierre were shot around 11:50 p.m.
He said Husbands was shot in the left side, while Pierre received shots to his right hand and torso. Up to about 8 this morning, Pierre was in surgery, while Husbands was treated and discharged.
The third police officer who was also on patrol, was uninjured.
