The Barbados Cricket Association (BCA) is reporting revenue of $6.87 million – an increase of $91 000 over last year – despite the continued global recession and a decline in grants from the West Indies Cricket Board, sponsorship, subscription and entrance fees.
However, it recorded a $1.79 million decline in comprehensive income, which fell from $3.76 million last year to $1.96 million.
According to the treasurer’s report, this decline was due primarily to adjustments “for the extra-ordinary write-off” of $1.64 million from the Public Enterprise Investment Fund loan.
For the third successive year, revenue from the lotteries accounted for the bulk of the association’s income. (SAT)
