Jamaica awaiting REDjet papers

The Jamaica Civil Aviation AuthoritY (JCAA) says it is awaiting documentation from authorities in Barbados to verify information provided by REDjet to continue the airline’s application process.
JCAA’s corporate communications manager Nicole Hutchinson said the government welcomed healthy competition “as prices become demand driven and airlines are forced to be efficient”.
Without providing details on what information JCAA was anticipating, she said they have been waiting since early last month.
The DAILY?NATION understands REDjet had sent all documentation requested by the Jamaica authorities in May.
