PSV uniform issue unresolved

THE CONTROVERSY over the uniforms of privately owned public service vehicle (PSV) operators remains unresolved.
Following a meeting yesterday with the Association of Private Transport Operators (APTO), which the operators asked for, discussion of the matter has been adjourned until a planned executive meeting tomorrow.
The confusion surrounds the displaying in the May 20 edition of the WEEKEND NATION of burgundy and yellow T-shirts as part of the uniform of PSV operators.
However, operators referred to an APTO meeting in January, at which it was decided that those shirts would be phased out and a dress shirt, available in either yellow or grey and with an APTO logo, would become part of the official uniform of all PSV operators. (CA)
