Last year, Margaret Thompson had the honour of teaching three students in the Top 10 in the Common Entrance Examination. This year, she produced two more in Mitali Doshi and Faith Corbin.
For several months, Doshi and Corbin had intensive lessons with Thompson at her Husbands, St James home, and yesterday was a chance in a more relaxed atmosphere to reflect on the maths and English mission that was accomplished with flying colours.
“I love teaching and I love children. I come with a total package. I cover all of my bases in maths and I cover composition, comprehension, grammar with the kind of detail that ensures my students are very well prepared,” said a passionate Thompson. A teacher at St Stephen’s Primary since 1986, she is in her 31st year in the profession.
