MINISTER?of Health Donville Inniss plans to review the controversial national drug formulary.
Speaking at a NATION?Talkback town hall meeting on Wednesday night, Inniss said he had heard the concerns raised, particularly as they related to the elderly, and gave the assurance he would take a second look over the next three to six months.
“I?am one to listen to the concerns and respond to them. I am not going to bury my head in the sand. I will continue to listen and engage,” Inniss said before a packed audience at St Leonard’s Secondary Boys’ School auditorium.
However, the minister’s timetable did not sit well with former Opposition Leader Mia Mottley, who argued that six months was simply too long to wait for a review of the system, which she said was clearly impacting on pensioners and the indigent. (MK)
