Hope steps in

With a clearly defined vision for the development of Barbados’ cricket, Calvin Hope is back to challenge for the presidency of the Barbados Cricket Association (BCA).
Hope, a former BCA board member, expressed dissatisfaction with the record of incumbent Joel Garner and outlined his plans to restructure the business end of the game, while promoting the island’s unique cricket brand.
“I want to move it to another level,” Hope, an attorney-at law said. He is not the only person who wants to serve cricket.
Twenty-year-old Kamal Springer has also been nominated to serve on the board, and he has taken a special interest in youth cricket. (SAT)
