AT LEAST 150 Barbadians seek admission to nursing homes on a daily basis.
In view of that, Minister of Health Donville Inniss yesterday reiterated the need for people to prepare for their golden years when they were in their prime.
Inniss said health care was not cheap and young people needed to prepare for the challenges that came with ageing before they reached 55 and beyond.
“There is a mindset that the state will always have money and resources to house all who need to be housed. That is a myth we have to face up to.”
