There were diplomats, hoteliers, prominent figures from the local tourism register and business people among the cross section of guests invited to the official opening of the Radisson Aquatica Resort Barbados last week.
Once a Holiday Inn, later Grand Barbados and until recently Aquatic Resort, the 124-room hotel is now flying the flag of the internationally known Radisson brand and Atef Nicholas, managing director of Grand Hotel Limited, owners of the Aquatic Gap property, celebrated the occasion with his guests.
There was also a visiting delegation from the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, under whose portfolio Radisson hotels fall.
