Royalty Ballers dominated on every front to emerge champions of the recently concluded 2013 Old Boys Invitational Masters Football Tournament.
So dominant were Royal Ballers that they were unbeaten over the course of the tournament, winning all 14 matches played, collecting 42 points.
They didn’t even need to play outstanding matches against Trents and Exactly Unified.
They amassed 57 goals and only conceded six for a healthy goal difference of 51. Royalty Ballers’ Michael Forde was the tournament’s MVP with 17 goals.
Combined Forces were a distant second with 33 points, while Wanderers “B” edged Wanderers “A”, to take third place with 26 points, one more than their club mates.
In the final round of matches, a quadruple header played last Sunday at Carlton Club, only  Wanderers “A” had a chance of spoiling Royalty Ballers’ perfect record, but were unable to do so, losing 4-1.
In other matches, Combined Forces had a comfortable 6-1 victory over Christ Church Masters and Exactly Unified slumped to their 11th defeat, going down 1-3 against Wanderers “B”.
Wildey Masters had to fight hard for their 4-3 victory over Carlton. After racing to a 3-0 lead, Carlton drew level but Wildey scored the final goal moments before regulation time expired.
Players are now preparing of the International Masters Tournament which will be held in Barbados next weekend. (SAT)
