Bajan karatekas bag 39 medals

BARBADOS?GAINED 16 gold medals in an overall total of 39 medals at the just-concluded International Karate Daigaku (IKD) 2012 Shoto Camp  and First World Cup, held at the Ryerson  University in Canada.
After Barbados’ first karate World champion Cameron King won the country’s first senior gold medal in the individual kata at the inaugural tournament in Toronto which began last Thursday and ended on Sunday, the medals in all colours, started coming in for the Bajans.
King led the way, copping three titles while there were also double gold medals for Ladisha Boyce, Shamar Forde and Kodie King.
TOTAL?MEDALS: 39 – Gold, 16; silver, 13, bronze, 10.
