Rihanna in for grandmother’s funeral

Barbadian Grammy Award winner Rihanna is in Barbados attending her grandmother’s funeral today.
The funeral service for Clara “Dolly” Brathwaite, who died recently in the United States, took place this afternoon at the Emmanuel Baptist church, President Kennedy Drive, Eagle Hall, St Michael.
Rihanna, in a black dress, arrived in a hired car after 1 p.m. The international singer was driving and was accompanied by her cousin Noella.
Family members and friends gathered for the funeral service, which was scheduled to start at 1 p.m. 
The service was also attended by the top brass of the Barbados Tourism Authority, including Minister of Tourism Richard Sealy, chairman Adrian Elcock and president David Rice.
The interment is being held at Coral Ridge in Christ Church. (CM)
