DEAR CHRISTINE: Wanting to leave husband for lover

Dear Christine,
I AM QUITE AWARE that many times you get letters from individuals about their relationship with married men.
My case is quite the opposite as I am married but seeing a man who is younger than I am. He is 26 and I am 31. We see each other often as we are both members of a group.
I am very miserable in my marriage and this man I’m seeing can give me more than my husband can. I will be honest and say I really do not care about my husband anymore, but at the same time, I do not want to hurt him.
Please advise me as I am becoming very frustrated with this life I am living.

Dear J.P,
I’m not sure if you want me to tell you hang in there, because I honestly cannot. Furthermore, it does not surprise me that you are frustrated with your life. Cheating can make anyone with a conscience very unhappy and uncomfortable.
What I think you should do, is withdraw from the group, stop seeing this man and work on making your marriage a success.
I’m sure you know that cheating on your husband this way is not right.
