In an effort to raise funds for disabled athletes, 100 law enforcement officers participated in a fun run today.
Superintendent Jedder Robinson said the event, which coincided with the start of the Royal?Barbados Police Force’s week of activities, was organized to raise money for Special Olympians to attend this year’s games in Greece.
Robinson said the law enforcement divisions involved in the run, which started at 1 p.m. from various points of the island, included police, airport security, prison officers, New York Police Department officers, Government security guards and Immigration officers. Twelve Special Olympians were also included.
The run concluded at Brandon’s Beach, Spring Garden Highway, St Michael. (AH)
