Church restoration

The St Catherine Anglican Church is on the way to being returned to its former state.
The St Philip church was struck by lightning in July last year, resulting in damage to its electrical system, roof and bell tower. The lightning strike also caused a small fire in the church office.
At that time, a team comprising structural engineer Abdul Pandor, quantity surveyor Andy Clarke, special projects manager with Crane & Equipment Ltd, Joseph “Joey” Rodriguez, and Dave Mason of Marshall’s Trading had been working on improvements to the church.
In addition, then Minister of Housing and Lands Michael Lashley had also pledged assistance.
The roof is yet to be replaced but the work continues. (CA)
