Under control

The fire at the Mangrove Landfill, St Thomas which broke out yesterday, is under control.
Acting manager of the Sanitation Service Authority Rosalind Knight said today that everything was under control.
The fire broke out yesterday morning as thousands of tyes blazed, sending thick, black smoke into the air.
The Lester Vaughan School and Sharon Primary School had been opened as shelters for any residents who were affected by the blaze. (JS)
