YESTERDAY’S GRAND KADOOMENT was far from incident-free, but no lives were lost.Police public relations officer Inspector David Welch reported a case of stone-throwing involving masqueraders but no arrests were made and police on hand spoke to those involved.Around 3:40 p.m. a 37-year-old man was stabbed in the upper back. He was taken for treatment to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by the Barbados Defence Force ambulance.Welch said a 25-year-old Weekes Land, Black Rock, St Michael man was shot in the buttocks around 4:35 p.m. while in Kellman Land, Black Rock, and was also taken to hospital.Three people were injured when a truck struck them on Brighton Beach Road North, around 4:45 p.m. Everad Bentham, 35, of Bulkeley Meadows, St George, complained of injuries to the right foot; Simone Carrington, 37, of Fairview Heights, St George, complained of pains to her legs, while Karen Alleyne complained of pain to the left knee.Driver Rudolph Harper, 37, reported to police he was beaten after to the accident.
