About 100 members of the Sugar Industries Staff Association (SISA) met yesterday to discuss issues relating to the recent developments in the industry.
The meeting took place in SISA House, Black Rock, St Michael. President Michael Browne made a brief statement.
“SISA has met with its membership as per the requirements of the consultation process,” he said.
The discussion would have centred on the Barbados Agricultural Management Company (BAMC) announcing the closure and redesign of Andrews Factory and the proposed termination of more than 100 employees. (CA)
