A bridal affair

An exquisite Sandy Lane villa provided the ideal setting for the second ever bridal fair hosted by Caribbean Bride magazine last week.
The services of event planners, photographers, wedding planners, interior designers, caterers, hotels and a host of other special services catering to the bride’s big day, were exhibited. Several brides-to-be turned out for the event.
Several fashionably-dressed women and a few men, also dapperly attired, made the swank affair a must. In the  ambiance of Villa Aliseo, said to be the Barbados holiday home of an owner of British football club Crystal Palace, they sipped cocktails and savoured Dan Brinckman’s delicate bakery offerings while taking in the show of bridal gowns by local designer Pat Brathwaite, and styles for wedding guests from Arabella Boutique.
In the background, saxophonist Ricky Niles jazzed up the evening with romantic selections.
Publisher of Caribbean Bride Dave Cox told Social Scene he was already receiving calls from other Caribbean islands to stage similar bridal fairs.
