SPINNERS Chad Clarke-Reifer (four for 34) and Gary Belle (three for 58) shared seven wickets between them to give visitors Wanderers the advantage over Old Brigand Dover.
Responding to Wanderers’ challenging 286, Dover reached 202 for eight from 71 overs at the close.
A number of batsmen got starts but failed to carry on as they slumped from the comfort of 104 for two, to be still 85 runs behind on first innings.
Andre Roach (43), Sean Armstrong (40), Jamar Phillips (28) and Haroon Austin (24) all made useful contributions, while Shanaldo Taylor is unbeaten on 23.
Armstrong and Alvin Greenidge Jnr (15) shared an opening stand of 45. However, Armstrong was plumb lbw to off-spinner Belle from the second ball after the tea, as he swung across the line. He hit five fours in 104 minutes from 83 balls.
Roach’s knock contained five fours in just over two hours before he was caught behind off Belle.
Left-arm spinner Clarke-Reifer accounted for both Austin and Taylor with the innings at the cross-roads.Â
Phillips cracked two fours and two sixes before he was caught at extra-cover, while Austin was bowled.
Earlier, continuing from an overweek 255 for eight, Wanderers were eventually dismissed for 286. Jason Greene carried his maiden Division One century from 111 to finish unbeaten on a fine 139.
