Traditionally strong five-time champions Bayley’s will be out to create history when they oppose Good Shepherd in the final of the Guardian Group Herman Griffith Primary Schools Cricket Competition on Thursday at Empire Club, Bank Hall from 10:30 a.m.

The St Philip side will be seeking to become the first team to win three consecutive titles following their triumphs in 2016 and 2017.

They also won the title in 1993, 2006 and 2011 but Good Shepherd will also be aiming to create their own history by winning the competition, which started in 1980, for the first time.

Good Shepherd’s previous two final appearances in 1998 and 2000 ended in defeat to Erdiston (now George Lamming) and Charles F. Broome, respectively. (EZS)
