Soca singer Mikard is in pain but in good spirits as he undergoes treatment for symptoms akin to multiple sclerosis at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
The artiste, whose song Fatpork created waves earlier this Crop Over season, said yesterday his back was hurting after treatment while his hands remained numb.
“Otherwise, I’m in good spirits. . . . Everybody has been calling me. I getting treat good, the nurses are treating me good,” he said.
Mikard, a former policeman, was hospitalized a few days ago but is hoping to compete with Fatpork, which he dubbed a tribute to one of Barbados’ delicacies. (RJ)
