Going for Dem

Hundreds of copies of the Democratic Labour Party manifesto were snapped up like veritable hot cakes at the National Cultural Foundation’s car park in West Terrace, St James, last night.
The 58-page document, subtitled Continuing On The Pathways To Progress, addressed the DLP’s socially balanced policies, plans to create a modern agriculture and fisheries sector, good governance, and environmental soundness – all geared “toward national transformation while securing the future of our society”.
The manifesto launch, led by Prime Minister and party leader Freundel Stuart, featured an array of speakers, including President of the Senate Kerry-Ann Ifill. (RJ)
