Government senators Haynesley Benn and Jepter Ince have seen many opinion polls in Barbados in their day.
Neither is giving much weight to the latest one, which claimed last Sunday that Barbadians believe Opposition Leader Owen Arthur would be the best man to lead the country after the next general election, constitutionally due next year.
In fact, Benn, who is also the Minister of Commerce and Trade, said he had done his own scientific poll since the SUNDAY SUN published the results of the latest CADRES poll, and according to him, word on the ground is quite different from what the published poll indicated, with Barbadians fully aware of the work being done by the current Government in the midst of circumstances never seen before.
“If you look at the poll taken before this last one, you will notice not much is different. The results are even in the same order,” Benn told the DAILY NATION in an exclusive interview yesterday.
