Martial arts card Saturday

MARLON REMISE is taking the fight to Trinidad.
The local favourite will be squaring off against Seon Adhar of the twin island republic with one of at least five belts on the line when the Barbados Mixed Martial Arts Federation stages Broken Tridents at the Frederick Smith Secondary School, St James, on Saturday.
It’s the inaugural edition of the ten-bout card, which will also feature another Barbados versus Trinidad fight when local fighter Oneal Chase takes on Stephan White.
Barbados spearhead Corey Weithers, the 2012 regional light heavyweight champ, is also set to be in action against Kenny Harry while Kirk Goddard and Jason Young will do battle for the coveted heavyweight belt.
Renaldo Stuart and Sheldon Jones are slated to face off with a middleweight belt up for grabs on a night that is scheduled to feature some seven different weight categories in total.
The card begins at 6:30 p.m. and is being held in collaboration with the Caribbean Fight League. (JM)
