Oval ‘headache’

Kensington Oval is facing what is now seemingly becoming an annual “headache” – getting the ground ready for international cricket after a series of non-cricket events.

Less than three weeks before the first One-Day International (ODI) between West Indies and Ireland, the outfield is in hardly impeccable condition after the staging of at least three major events in recent weeks.

Barbados Cricket Association (BCA) president Conde Riley, however, is confident the Oval will be ready for the two ODIs scheduled for January 7 and 9.(HG)
