MURDER ACCUSED Hakeem Deshon Jeremy Griffith could be spending the upcoming holidays home with his family.
Griffith, of Well Gap, Cave Hill, St Michael, is accused of murdering Ricardo “Rick Rick” Bryan outside Lucky Horseshoe Warrens, St Michael, on September 1, 2016.
He was granted $250 000 bail last Friday by Justice Pamela Beckles in Supreme Court No. 5 after prosecutor Crown Counsel Neville Watson was unable to provide pre-trial statements for the 2016 murder.
Griffith was represented by Queen’s Counsel Michael Lashley and Dayna Taylor-Lavine.
As part of his bail conditions, Griffith has been placed on a 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfew, must report to the District “A” Police Station every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, and was made to surrender his travel documents.
Griffith was jointly charged with Jason Shamin Blenman, of Pounders Road, Bush Hall; Stefan Akoni Nkosi Branch, of Richmond Gap; and Kiastan Hallam Clarke, of 2nd Avenue, Green Hill, all in St Michael, after surveillance video leaked on social media showed the execution-style shooting of Bryan as he exited his Mercedes Benz taxi.
The accused returns to court on January 19.(RA)
