Landship takes the spotlight

THE?SPOTLIGHT was again turned on one of Barbados’ cultural icons as hundreds gathered for a tribute to the Landship at the Frank Collymore Hall last Friday.
The movement, commemorating its 150 yearsin existence, was the centre of attraction as the National Cultural Foundation Crop Over Folk Concert focused on the triumphs and the challenges of the Landship through a play entitled The House Of Landship.
The play was written and directed by noted dramatist Winston Farrell and featured a 21-member cast.
