DARIAN KING is through to the quarter-finals of the 11th Gerry Weber Junior Open Tennis Tournament in Germany.Playing in his first grass tournament as he prepares for the Junior Wimbledon Championships in England from June 26 to July 4, King has a date with wild card Filip Veger of Croatia.In the first round, King claimed his first singles win of this European tour by defeating German Tim Nekic 6-4, 6-3. King’s victim in the second round was his French Open doubles partner Juan Sebastian Gomez. Gomez, the No. 4 seed and 15th ranked junior player, was beaten 6-4, 6-4. (PR/SAT)
