Nearly two weeks after the scheduled July 1 date for the commencement of a multimillion-dollar upgrade, work has not started on the redevelopment of Bushy Park.
Yesterday, when WEEKENDSPORT visited the area, the home of the island’s lone auto racing track, Bushy Park, resembled a ghost town, with no sign of any construction machinery, materials or workmen.
Prior to the visit, a check with Chief Town Planner Mark Cummins had resulted in a visit to the Town and Country Planning Department after he had invited the NATION to view the Statutory Register, which he said showed all of the applications which had been made and if they had been approved or not.
On arrival it was revealed that the department had not yet received any application for the redevelopment of Bushy Park.
