Commissioner of Police Darwin Dottin’s first day in court was a rather short one.
Lawyers representing the embattled top cop were in the No. 9 Supreme Court for less than half an hour yesterday, in their bid to have Dottin taken off administrative leave and return to work.
Their application for an interim injunction before Justice Margaret Reifer in chambers was adjourned until next Tuesday, without negotiations getting off the ground.
Dottin looking dapper in a grey suit, lilac shirt and purple tie, exited the court smiling just after 9:30 a.m., followed by his legal team of Elliott Mottley, QC, and Leslie Haynes, QC.
Dottin opted not to comment on the case, but when asked how he was doing, smiled and said: “I’m all right.” (BA)
