West Indies win first ODI

NORTH SOUND, Antigua (CMC) – West Indies defeated England by 15 runs in the first One Day International (ODI) at the Sir Vivian Richards stadium here today.
Needing 29 off the last two overs, Dwayne Bravo conceded seven and Ravi Rampaul six to limit England to 254 for six. England fell away badly in the middle, chasing the West Indies’ total of 269 for six.
Debutant Michael Lumb scored 106 to give England an excellent start, but they fell from 180 for three to 211 for six.
Earlier, Simmons, Bravo and Sammy led the West Indies to respectability after they were reeling on 153 for five.
