PINE HILL St Barnabas regained the National Senior Games netball title at the Netball Stadium on Saturday night after a two-game blowout of Spooners Hill.
St Barnabas, who won the inaugural tournament in 2011 before losing last year to Brydens, followed up Friday night’s 30-18 victory with a 25-14 triumph.
Former national basketball captain Dwight Rouse was a literal tower of strength at goal shoot, scoring 22 of 25 attempts and made a mockery of his opponent’s goalkeeper, Adrian Morris.
High passes to Rouse could not be intercepted and he often dumped the ball for easy goals although his footwork was constantly questioned.
