The Final 10 who made the Pic

Will an All Star take the crown this year? Will Blood headline a Pic-O-De-Crop Finals? Will a young calypsonian upset the stalwarts? Or will De Big Show put on a bigger show come August 2 at the Kensington Oval?
When the announcement was made this morning minutes after two the Cave Shepherd All Stars had four out of ten in the lineup of the MQI/Banks/LIME Pic-O-De-Crop Finals.
De Big Show followed with three, House of Soca with two and Headliners bringing up the rear with one.
In a keenly contested battle of 18 at the Wildey Gymnasium, the ten would have scored the most points out of the judges criteria of lyrics, a maximum of 40 points, melody, 35 and rendition, 25 points.
While some complained of sound problems, lines were forgotten and hoarseness and patchiness plagued others.
Aziza, who will again face the judges in today’s Junior Monarch, couldn’t contain her excitement, hugging her well-wishers, squealing and jumping around. Sir Ruel shook hands and took the congratulations in stride.
The ten to go through are:  Ian Webster (Cave Shepherd All Stars), Aziza (House of Soca), TC (De Big Show), Blood (Headliners), Mr Dale (De Big Show), Chrystal Cummins-Beckles (Cave Shepherd All Stars), Colin Spencer (Cave Shepherd All Stars), Sir Ruel (House of Soca), Adrian Clarke (Cave Shepherd All Stars) and Serenader (De Big Show). The reserve is Smokey Burke (Cave Shepherd All Stars).
