Fees fuss

A Government minister has charged that the fee structure for lawyers and health care professionals is so skewed in their favour that it has resulted in wealth for “a few” and “crumbs for the majority” of Barbadians.
And he wants something done about it.
New Minister of Industry, International Business, Commerce and Small Business Development Donville Inniss expressed his concerns in a tough-talking speech at the Fair Trading Commission’s ninth Annual Lecture at the Accra Beach Hotel & Spa last Friday night.
“As fellow Barbadians and myself complain about food prices and utility bills, I am equally concerned over the fee-setting policies of service providers in this island,” he said.(MB/RB)
