An agreement between the Barbados Football Association and Argentina will allow the national Under-17 footballers an opportunity to train with the top football club in Argentina, the Boca Juniors.

Argentine ambassador to Barbados Gustavo Pandiani, said the club, which is the home for many top footballers, will allow them the best training in hopes of making it to the FIFA World Cup in 2026.

“Boca Juniors is one of the most recognisable items in Argentina football. They also have the best facilities in the country,” he said.

The documents establishing cooperation between the two entities is expected to be signed next week while the team is expected to travel to Argentina in December. (RG)
