The forensic audit into the operations of CLICO?should include the directors and officers of the cash-strapped insurance company.
This has been stated by chairman of the Barbados Investors and Policyholders Alliance (BIPA), June Fowler.
“The forensic audit is much too limited and we would like to have it spread further. It is important that the directors and officers are probed because these are the ones who had oversight for the organisation,” Fowler said.
“The audit has to look at their role and how they operated as the leaders, in terms of policy oversight during that period, so we believe that those directors and officers should be examined under oath,” she said.
