WITH IT’S THEME ‘Members One Of Another’ and dedicated to the kind, caring and wonderful old scholars of the class of 1990, the Springer Memorial Secondary School held its annual Christmas cantata yesterday morning at the school auditorium at Government Hill, St Michael.
The production featured the talents of the school staff and pupils who did not disappoint those gathered for this event.
The school choir led by Dave Jackman gave a splendid performance as they did a piece called O Shepherds Aren’t You Happy and later joined with the steel orchestra in the grand finale.
The teachers of the foreign language department were not to be left out as they did number in French creole entitled, Ba Moi En Ti Bo which means, ”give me a little kiss for Christmas”.
Members of the audience were given an opportunity to participate in the line up as they sang Silent Night and Wish You A Merry Christmas.
As part of the morning programme two barrels of foodstuff were donated to the Salvation Army and the Barbados Vagrants & Homeless Society. This foodstuff was collected from the students of the school who were excited to give back to society in this way. (RL)
