Police presence in New Orleans

Trouble spot areas New Orleans and Chapman Lane, St Michael are about to get a stronger police presence.
This news has from police chief Darwin Dottin during a walk through the areas today. 
Dottin was accompanied on the walk-through by Assistant Commissioner Oral Williams, as well as acting assistant commissioners Mark Thompson and Erwin Boyce and public relations officer Inspector David Welch.
The top cop revealed that residents of the area were crying out for a heavier police presence, after a number of shooting incidents during the past two weeks.
“We need to bring this area under control right now,” Dottin said.
“We’ve been working diligently over the last couple of days and there have been several patrols in the area. We also made some arrests so we are making good progress in dealing with some of the disorder that was being experienced in the area,” he reported. (BA)
