Party promoters and organizers who hold fetes at Kensington Oval now need to take more than the partygoers’ needs into consideration.
People living in Pickwick Gap and surrounding districts are calling for them to be aware of the fact that Kensington Oval is situated in a residential area.
Following last Saturday night’s concert Outrageous In Red which went over time, several residents lamented to the SATURDAY SUN that they were fed up with the constant loud music, especially at the “ridiculous” hours.
Maureen Tudor, who has been living in the area for more than 30 years, said the constant music has “now become really annoying”.
“Saturday night, I had to leave my house and go [to] St Philip in order to get some sleep. I work shifts at the [Bridgetown] Port, so the music there is a big inconvenience.
“The vibrations shake my house and windows and knock my ornaments off my wall,” Tudor said.
Full story in today’s SATURDAY SUN.
