Drugs found, man charged

DRUG ERADICATION OPERATIONS in three rural parishes netted 895 cannabis plants today and resulted in one man being charged for the cultivation of 129 plants.
Areas of St Joseph, St George and St John were searched by members of the Drug Squad, the Canine and Marine Units of the Royal Barbados Police Force and the Barbados Defence Force.
Twenty-eight year old Paul Marshall of Vaughn’s Land #1, St Joseph was charged with possession, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and cultivation of 129 plants.
According to police, a search warrant was executed at his residence and the plants were discovered growing in his yard. He is expected to appear in Court on Monday.
Meanwhile, 636 plants were found in another area of Vaughn’s Land, while 110 were discovered in Claybury, St John and 20 and Valley Land, St George. (NB/PR)
