Williams Industries West Terrace Tigers roared long, loud and hard yesterday at the National Stadium, en route to their historic double at the 2012 Pine Hill National Primary Schools’ Athletic Championships.
Never in the ten-year history of the competition had one school held both titles at the same time; but West?Terrace proved it could be done.
The boys, expected to win, ran away with the title, but the girls had to dig deep to upset defending champions KFC So Good Christ Church Girls’ by a mere two points.
After running a victory lap, the West Terrace Tigers danced to the beat of the drums and cymbals, joined by their teachers, parents and supporters.
Beware the Tigers!
