New mum Krisla Kristen dishes on how she puts together her signature easy mix
How would you define your personal style?
Simple and elegant. I do not believe that because it is in style, I have to wear it.
Do you find that you follow fashion trends or do you play by your own rules?
I play by my own rules, mix up things with my own personal style.
Has your fashion sense changed over the years or has it remained the same?
Yes, it has changed. I am much bolder with my style – gone much more sophisticated, with a bit of simplicity.
Are there any colours that you tend to shy away from and if so, why?
I tend to not wear a lot of black; my personalty is colourful . . . I love pinks, red and blues.
As a child, were you always into clothes or did you grow into your own fashion sense?
As a child I was a tomboy; into my teens I grew to love fashion; now, being a young mum, I have set my own rends.
How does your day-to-day life factor into your wardrobe choices?
I dress for the occassion. I try to make things as simple as I can with the time I have and not overdo it – this works for me.
Are there and designers that you like to wear or whose clothing stands out with you?
Wow!?A lot comes to mind, if I could afford them. YVES Saint Laurent and Gucci tops my list.
