UWI athletes want answers

This is what athletes at the University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus are demanding as they seek funding for the sports programme.
The issue resulted in a face-off between the president of the Guild of Students, Odwin Trenton, and athletes yesterday during protest action against a shortage of funds from the guild.
The sportsmen want to know what is the policy regarding the allocation of funds for the games programme.
Spokesperson for the athletes, Monique James, said that the protest was an attempt to solve ongoing problems the athletes of the campus were having with regards to the funding of sports programmes.
