THE SERENITY OF last Sunday afternoon on the West Coast was disturbed by a three-vehicle collision.
The accident, in Holetown, St James, close to the police station, involved two minibuses and a car.
Police public relations officer, Inspector David Welch, reported that the minibuses were driven by Elvis Bayley, 42, of Exchange Hill, and Ernest Boxhill, 59, of Melvin Avenue, Black Rock, both in St Michael.
The car was driven by Neilsia Payne of Weston, St James. All three vehicles were damaged.
Conductor on one of the buses, Patrick Bailey, told the DAILY NATION the accident took place around 2:15 p.m. while they were travelling to Oistins. The driver and six passengers in that minibus were not injured, he added.
In the other minibus, however, several of the “15 to 20” passengers reportedly sustained some injuries, including a broken nose and pain in the legs and head. (LW)
