MILLIONS?OF?DOLLARS worth of seismic data on Barbados’ critical oil industry have been reported missing from Government’s Division of Energy and Telecommunications.
And a former senior official of that department is under police investigation, according to reliable sources.
They told the SUNDAY?SUN that the data which was being stored in a secured area disappeared last month.
That data, which included critical information about Barbados’ offshore acreage, is usually sold for millions of dollars to people who are interested in onshore and offshore drilling for oil.
Data gone!
