A $150 000 investment per student by the Barbados Government to allow them to study dentistry in Trinidad is ringing hollow for Minister of Health Donville Inniss.
That’s because those Barbadian students still can’t practise dentistry in Barbados “because they do not sit or pass the registration examination administered by the Dental Council of Barbados”.
The minister said this problem regarding the registration of Barbadian dentists trained in Trinidad would be addressed and solved.
He aired these concerns yesterday as he addressed the Caribbean Dental Programme’s Conference On Education, Abuse, Neglect And Oral Care Practitioners at Accra Beach Hotel. (JS)
