POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING the circumstances surrounding the unnatural death of Goldburne Callender, 90, of Cane Vale, Christ Church, who died in a fire which extensive damaged his home.
The fire, of unknown origin, occurred about midnight and extensively damaged the wall house. It was occupied by Callender and nine other people, three of whom were children.
Callender was an amputee and wheel-chair bound.
Members of the Barbados Fire Service, led by Acting Chief Fire Officer Maynard, along with three fire tenders were deployed to the scene. (PR)
