ANOTHER?PIZZA?MAN?DOC has closed, reducing the local pizza chain to five from a high of nine restaurants.
And on Saturday night it was with a tinge of sadness that Peter Clarke shut shop for the final time.
The manager of the St Lawrence Pizza Man Doc said he opened the doors of what had become an institution along St Lawrence Main Road, Christ Church, more than 20 years ago and now it was his sad duty to close them.
The DAILY NATION visited the establishment around 10:30 p.m. when Clarke was closing for good. However, a late customer, the last one they would serve, came by and he was not turned away.
This service, said Clarke, was part of what had made them so popular in the past.
